Devexperts had a collection of completed projects and wanted to present them beautifully. These were trading applications with complex interfaces, charts and dense numerical information. We needed to turn this technical material into an engaging showreel while keeping the products recognisable. The finished film is used on the Devexperts website.

I proposed a visual direction that placed interfaces within staged scenes. Animation reveals how the products work, while graphic sequences and editing connect the projects into one film. The central challenge was finding a visually engaging way to present highly technical interfaces.

I developed the script and storyboard, defined the style, assembled the team and assigned tasks. During production, I gave feedback and directed how the individual scenes worked together. I also made parts of the film myself: the Devexa scene, the JTT interface animation transitioning from a light to a dark theme, the ribbons, and the orange icons against a dark blue background. I animated the interfaces, selected the music and edited the final film to it, while supervising the remaining scenes. The two animatics show the film’s progress at different stages of production.
